Kitchens in Aberdeen.
Bespoke kitchens designed, built and fitted across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. One firm for the whole project, from the building work and services through to the worktops and tiling. Family-run for over 20 years.
More than a kitchen fitter.
The builder behind the whole room.
A new kitchen is rarely just a set of units. The room often needs structural changes, a wall removed, the plumbing and electrics moved, the floor levelled and the plastering put right before a single cabinet goes in. That is where a fitter alone reaches their limit and where a builder makes the difference. For over 20 years, Granite Builders has designed and installed kitchens in Aberdeen and across Aberdeenshire, managing every trade under one roof so you deal with one team from the first drawing to the final tile.
We handle the complete project. Design and layout, the building and structural work, plumbing, electrics, plastering, flooring, cabinetry, worktops and tiling, all coordinated by one project manager. Whether you want a straightforward replacement in a tidy galley or an open-plan kitchen diner that opens up the back of the house, you get a finished room, not a half-done job waiting on three other tradespeople to turn up.
As Federation of Master Builders members and a TrustMark registered firm, we have been independently vetted and inspected, so the standard you are promised is the standard you get. From the West End of Aberdeen to Stonehaven, Inverurie, Westhill and Banchory, one accountable team looks after your kitchen from survey to handover.
Every trade your new kitchen needs,
under one roof.
Design & Layout
We plan the layout around how you actually cook and live, then handle drawings and supplier liaison.
Building & Structural
Removing walls, forming openings and extending the room to create open-plan space, all to warrant.
Plumbing & Electrics
Moving the sink, dishwasher, hob and sockets, rewiring and adding the points a modern kitchen needs.
Cabinetry & Worktops
We supply and fit, or fit units you have bought, then template and install worktops to a precise finish.
The builder who finishes
what a fitter cannot start.
One Team, One Contact
Builders, plumbers, electricians, plasterers, tilers and worktop fitters, all managed by one project manager. No coordinating trades yourself, and no gaps where nobody is responsible.
We Do The Building Work
Knocking through to open plan, moving services and forming structural openings are everyday work for us, not subcontracted unknowns. The room is ready before the units arrive.
Accredited, Not Just Insured
Federation of Master Builders membership and TrustMark registration mean we have been independently vetted against a Government-endorsed standard. These are not labels we gave ourselves.
No Surprises
We quote in writing, in detail, after a survey, and we do not start work we have not priced. If something unexpected appears behind the old units, you hear it before we act.

How much does a new kitchen
cost in Aberdeen?
There is no single price for a kitchen, because no two kitchens are the same. The figures below are honest, indicative starting points to help you plan. Your real number depends on the size of the room, the units you choose and how much building work is involved.
Indicative only, subject to a site survey, and exclude VAT. The ranges above are guide prices based on typical kitchens across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. Your final cost depends on size, specification, the units chosen and the amount of building, structural and services work involved. Where your kitchen includes an extension or open-plan knock-through, we price that element after a survey. We provide a detailed written quotation free of charge so you know the real figure before you commit.
The question every homeowner asks first.
It is also the one most fitters avoid answering. Here are honest, typical timescales once work begins on site. We confirm a clear programme for your specific kitchen at quote stage, and we hold to it.
Indicative only, subject to a site survey, and exclude VAT. A typical kitchen fit takes 2 to 4 weeks on site, with straightforward replacements quicker and anything involving building work longer. Timescales assume any building warrant is already approved. In Scotland, structural work such as removing a load-bearing wall or building an extension needs a building warrant from Aberdeen City or Aberdeenshire Council, so allow additional time for processing. We manage the warrant applications on your behalf and keep you updated at every step.
Your money and your home,
protected at every stage.
Protected for years
Through our TrustMark registration, your kitchen can be covered by an Insurance Backed Guarantee, so your investment is protected even in the unlikely event we could not return to put something right. Ask us for full details.
We stand behind it
Our work is covered by a written workmanship guarantee. If a covered defect appears after completion, we come back and fix it. No arguments, no fuss.
Contracts on every job
We carry public liability insurance and work to a written contract on every kitchen, large or small, so everyone knows exactly what was agreed.
Pay as work is done
You pay to a written schedule tied to agreed milestones, only for work that is completed and inspected. For larger projects, we can introduce a regulated finance provider so you can spread the cost.
From your first call to the final tile.
Free Survey & Quote
We visit your home, measure up, listen to how you want the kitchen to work, and produce a detailed written quote. No ballpark figures, and no obligation to go ahead.
Design & Planning
We finalise the layout and specification, coordinate with your chosen supplier, and submit any building warrant needed where structural work is involved.
Build & Install
One team handles the building work, services, plastering, flooring, units, worktops and tiling to an agreed programme. The site is kept tidy throughout.
Handover & Aftercare
We walk you through the finished kitchen, deal with any snags, and back the work with a written guarantee. We do not disappear when the invoice is paid.

A family builder Aberdeen has trusted for over 20 years.
Granite Builders has been part of Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire for over two decades. We are a family-run business, which means our reputation is personal. It is built one kitchen at a time, and we intend to keep it that way.
Because we are builders first, a kitchen is never just a delivery of flat-pack boxes to us. We understand the structure behind the wall, the services under the floor and the way Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire Council handle building warrants when a kitchen turns into an open-plan room or an extension. That is what keeps projects on schedule and budgets where they should be. We are proud Federation of Master Builders members and TrustMark registered because those standards matter to the people who trust us with their homes.

Frequently asked questions.
We do both. We will plan the layout around how you cook and live, advise on the units, worktops and appliances that suit your space and budget, and produce the drawings. If you have already designed your kitchen with a supplier, that is fine too, and we simply build and fit it. You can read more about the install side on our kitchen fitters in Aberdeen page.
Yes. We regularly fit customer-supplied units, including kitchens bought from Howdens, Wickes, Magnet, IKEA and independent suppliers. We will install the units, worktops, sink and appliances, handle the plumbing, electrics, flooring and tiling, and make sure everything ties together properly. Supplying the kitchen yourself and having us fit it is a popular way to control the cost while still getting a builder-led finish.
As a guide, fitting customer-supplied units starts from around £3,000, a supply and fit kitchen from around £8,000, and a full refit including services, flooring and tiling from around £12,000. Kitchens that involve an open-plan knock-through or an extension are priced individually. These ranges are indicative only, subject to a site survey, and exclude VAT. We give you a detailed written quotation free of charge so you know the real figure before you commit.
A typical kitchen fit takes 2 to 4 weeks on site, with a straight replacement on the same layout quicker, often 1 to 2 weeks. Anything involving building work, such as an open-plan knock-through or a kitchen extension, takes longer and we programme it for you. These timescales are indicative only, subject to a site survey, and assume any building warrant is already approved. We confirm a clear programme before work begins and hold to it.
Yes, this is exactly where being a builder rather than just a fitter matters. We move the sink, dishwasher, hob and sockets, rewire and add the points a modern kitchen needs, and we form open-plan layouts by removing walls and creating structural openings. Where the wall is load-bearing or you are extending, the work needs a building warrant from the council, which we manage for you. See our home extensions in Aberdeen page if you are considering a kitchen extension.
Yes. That is the core of what we do. One project manager coordinates the building and structural work, plumbing, electrics, plastering, flooring, cabinetry, worktops and tiling, so you deal with a single accountable team from the first survey to the final handover. You are not left arranging separate tradespeople or filling the gaps between them yourself.
